Our Purpose

Our deeper purpose is to provide the Defence community with financial security, and a sense of community and connection.

In our experience, people in Defence sacrifice themselves to serve others. So, it’s an honour to be able to give back, and to serve them.

We believe that by giving the Defence community the knowledge and support they need (especially when transitioning from Defence), we will empower them to get their Defence mindset to “fire into action” – and success will follow for them.

Robbie Turner

Robbie Turner

After completing 24 years in Defence, I knew that I wanted to continue to share my passion for property investment with other Defence members and Veterans. As the Founder and CEO of Axon, my role is varied, but my biggest enjoyment comes from my role as a Property Coach. I love being able to develop a plan that helps our clients think in ways they may never have before – all with a focus on achieving their personal and financial goals.

Tamara Turner

Co-founder and General Manager

My role as General Manager here at Axon covers everything from marketing strategy, account management, company admin to the client experience. My goal is to maximize the company’s performance and ultimately create the best environment possible – by spending time developing professionally and personally through training and development.  Before my time at Axon, I worked in events, including working with Tony Blair, George Clooney, and big charities such as the Myer Community Fund.

Dan Irwin

general operations manager and property coach

As Property Coach I get to develop ‘outside the box’ strategies that allow clients to achieve their goals, without having to significantly jeopardize their current quality of life. The greatest satisfaction that I get is paying it forward. Whilst I was still serving in the Army, a wise man taught me how to invest my money (rather than spend it on fast cars),  it allowed me to successfully transition from the defence and into civilian life. Now I’m on a mission to help others do the same.

Dane Roche

property coach

After spending 8 years in the RAAF, 5 years as an Avionics Maintenance Engineer and 3 as an Officer, I made my transition out of the ADF to serve the people who serve. I have both a military and financial advisors background, which I lean on to develop a wealth creation strategy for all my clients, tailored to suit their individual goals and circumstances. Through coaching, my goal is to educate and plan for the most optimal outcome, going beyond client’s expectations, to build a strong asset portfolio to ensure a well-deserved retirement.

Dave Simpson

Dave Simpson

lead Property specialist

With over 10 years of experience building my own portfolio and 5 years in the investment property profession, I work in conjunction with the coaches to implement the plans and strategies that we create, researching the current and emerging locations to ensure that we give our clients the best possible chance of success. I served for 21 years in the Army and retired as a WO2. I was the dog trainer and handler to Sarbi; a special operation’s Explosive Detection Dog (EDD) and Australia’s most recognised canine war hero.

Damian Gregor

Damian Gregson

property specialist

As a Property Specialist, I get to see the clients throughout their sessions with the coach. I love seeing their confidence grow as they learn more about their property and then their faces once they take a property off the market. Before joining Axon in 2019, I was in the Army for 13 years as a Combat Engineer and Fire Fighter. My property journey began in 2011, where I experienced a few things that I want to make sure no one else does.

James Wilkinson

James Wilkinson

Property specialist

I served in the Army for 16 years and first started our Axon journey in 2019 when my wife and I built our first investment property, whilst I was deployed overseas. It was during my coaching that I furthered my interest in the property market before shifting into my career at Axon. I gain the most satisfaction from giving back to the ADF community – both with the excitement during the Axon process and by turning clients’ plans and dreams into a reality.

Adam Harmey

Adam Harmey

property specialist

I started my own Axon journey back in 2018, when I attended a live Facebook event and became a client myself. From there, I built my first investment property with Axon. The amazing client-focused and precision service had me hooked. I served in the Army for 8 years, deploying to the Middle East in 2016. Upon transition out of the Army, I spent 18 months in Afghanistan in the private sector. I am extremely passionate about helping people, especially the veteran community.

Jane Kelly

Jane Kelly

Build support manager

My role as Axon’s Build Support Manager is perfect for me, as I have a huge passion for customer service. With over 8 years experience in both the real estate and construction industries, I’m proud to bring my skills and expertise to the team and support my amazing clients through the construction of their new home or investment property. I absolutely love being a small part of my client’s journeys and ensuring the build process is stress free and enjoyable for them.

Natalie Robson

Natalie Robson

build support assistant

I am one of the Build Support Assistants here at Axon Property Group. I served in the Navy for 5 years as a Leading Seaman Steward and Commissioned HMAS Parramatta, served on HMAS Newcastle as well as land-based postings. As an investor myself and loving property, I completed my Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management in 2007. I also had the pleasure of working with one of the big 4 banks for 15 months prior to being offered this position at Axon Property Group. I love helping people achieve their dreams using property.

Hayley Neville

build support assistant

After completing 10 years as a Transport Manager for the Army in January 2019, I started a career with RSL Victoria, where I trained up to become a Level 2 Compensation Advocate with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs and the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation. Before I joined Axon, I unfortunately fell into the trap of buying a house in Townsville – where the value significantly decreased and finding reliable tenants was almost impossible. After my own personal negative experience, I now understand the importance of having a well informed and structured property portfolio.

Renee Macartney

built support assistant

I am one of the Build Support assistants here at Axon Property Group. I served in the Army as an Admin Clerk but my career was cut short due to injuries and I got medically discharged in 2018. I was introduced to Axon by my OC at the time and started working for them within the Client Relations role straight out of defence. This is when I purchased my first property through the awesome team. I have since purchased my second property and like to consider myself an up and coming avid property investor. I love helping people and being a part of their property journey is an amazing feeling.

Amy Wallace

I am originally from Canberra, where I have worked predominantly within the Federal Government at Parliament House, but I have since relocated to the beautiful Gold Coast with my son. I love being part of such an incredible team who take such pride in giving back to the Veteran community.
