The Axon Property Group Team
Robbie Turner, Dan Irwin, Dane Roche, Dave Simpson, Damian Gregson, Matthew Fleming and James Wilkinson make up the ADF Property Coaching Team. They are all highly passionate and enthusiastic property investors that come from substantial military backgrounds.
Of our 9 Veterans in the business, we have a combined 117+ years service (including over 23 deployments to East Timor, Solomon Islands, Afghanistan, Kuwait and Iraq). Robbie & Dan both completed their service as Majors. Dane reached the rank of Flying Officer, Dave reached the rank of Warrant Officer, and Damian reached the rank of Sergeant. James, Matt and Hayley completed as Corporals and Natalie a Leading Seamen.
Of note, their ADF service is complemented by over 79 years of property experience. I'm sure you'd agree, this makes Axon Australia's most elite property coaching business that specialises in helping current serving ADF members and Veterans. We know your unique ADF circumstances. We know how to help you.
As the founder and CEO of Axon Property Group, my role is varied, but I must say my biggest enjoyment comes from my role as Property Coach. I love being able to come up with a plan for my clients and help them think in ways they may not have before - all with a focus on achieving their personal and financial goals.
After 23 years in Defence, I knew I wanted to continue to help people, and to be able to share my passion for Property Investment with Defence members and other Veterans, it really makes me jump out of bed each day!
I've lived in so many different places in this beautiful country, but living on the Gold Coast is definitely my favourite so far! I love spending time with my wife and our 2 puppies exploring the Coasts many places to eat, drink and explore!
I am the Co-Founder and General Manager of Axon Property Group.
My role includes the management of our Marketing Strategy, Account Management, Company Admin and Client Experience. I also love spending time developing my team professionally and personally through training and development. My goal is to maximise the company's performance, and ultimately create a positive team environment.
Prior to Axon, I worked in Event management, with highlights including working with Tony Blair, George Clooney and various big charities such as the Myer Community Fund. I also did a few years as a Flight Attendant with Qantas.
I love spending time with Robbie and our 2 fur-kids (Hank and Molly), as well as my gorgeous girlfriends - preferably with a cocktail in hand!
I am the primary property coach at Axon Property Group, meaning it is highly likely that I will interact with each and every client at some stage. In this role as a strategist I get to develop ‘outside the box’ plans that allow clients to achieve their goals, without having to significantly jeopardise their current quality of life. As an investor, I would be considered quite aggressive in my approach – meaning that I almost always have a new project in the works!
The greatest satisfaction that I get from my role is paying it forward … when I was still in the ADF someone taught me how to invest my money (rather than spend it on fast cars!) and it allowed me to successfully transition to civilian life. Now I am on a mission to help others do the same so that they can transition at a time & place of their choosing – spend more time with their kids – travel… whatever they want! When I do take some down-time, I’ve recently taken to bundling my young family into the car for fishing weekends along the Fraser Island Coast. The lower tempo (compared to living inner-city Brisbane) is refreshing – and the fishing options are vast!
I am the Property Specialist here at Axon Property Group. I work closely with the coaches to implement the plans that we create with our clients. I spend the majority of my day researching our current and emerging locations to ensure that we give our clients the best possible chance of success. Maintaining relationships with the best and most reliable builders ensures that I can hold them to the highest standards of quality and service. I am an active property investor with over ten years of experience building my property portfolio and five years working in the industry as an investment property professional.
Before working in the investment property industry, I served for 21 years in the Army and retired as a WO2. I was the dog trainer and handler to Sarbi; a special operation’s Explosive Detection Dog (EDD) and Australia’s most recognised canine war hero. During one of our missions in Afghanistan, Sarbi went missing in action during a heated battle with the Taliban. Sarbi was recovered 14 months later, reunited with Australian Forces, and returned home to live with my wife and I. After 17 years as a dog trainer, I continue to have a keen interest in training dogs and love nothing more than finding a dog-friendly Airbnb on the coast somewhere to spend time away with my wife and our dog.
I am a Property Specialist for Team 1 and take clients through the process, risk, location, design selection and coordinate the legal and financial acquisition of their property. I work within the guidelines stipulated for the client to ensure that they receive the optimal property in a prime location for the best price for their individual circumstances. I maintain a very close relationship with clients and endeavour to go beyond their expectations and play a fundamental part in their journey to financial freedom.
I have both a military and financial advisors background, which I lean on to build my expertise in utilising property investment to ensure financial freedom for our clients. I am an investor through and through, and spent 8 years in the RAAF, 6 years as an OR and 2 years as an Officer, before making the transition out of the ADF. I believe that Axon is playing a vital part in educating ADF members in knowing when to use their housing entitlements to build a strong asset portfolio to ensure their well deserved retirement is secure. I am here to serve the people who serve!
I am one of the Property Specialists here at Axon, so I get to see the clients throughout their sessions with the coach before I then take the lead and guide them through the process of identifying and purchasing their property. I love seeing the client's confidence grow as they learn more about their property and then their faces once they take a property off the market!
I was in the Army for 13 years as a Combat Engineer and Fire Fighter, which included a couple of deployments and a stint at the Fire School at RAAF Base Amberley. I then spent 3 years in civvy street before joining Axon in mid 2019, however my own property journey started in 2011 (where I experienced a few things that I want to make sure no-one else does!).
When I'm not wearing an Axon shirt I enjoy getting out and about with my 3 kids and playing or watching sport, although my body is telling me I should be watching more than playing these days!
I am a Property Specialist at Axon Property Group. I first started my journey with Axon in 2019 as a client with my wife Caitlin with building our amazing first investment property whilst I was deployed overseas. During my coaching and mentoring I further increased my interest in the property market and applied to work for Axon.
Since then I have developed my passion and drive from being an integral part of assisting clients through their planning and build process to achieve wealth through either investment properties, own home and eventually their DREAM home!
I served in the Army for 16 years, initially enrolled in RASIGS however corps transferred to AUSTINT where I finally discharged as an Analyst. The experience I gained throughout my career assists clients daily in formulating their plan and developing the perfect property for their needs, which is where I gain the most satisfaction from - giving back to the ADF community.
My role as Axon's Build Support Manager is perfect for me as I have a huge passion for customer service. With over 8 years experience in the real estate and construction industries, I'm proud to be able to bring my skills and expertise to the team and support my amazing clients through the construction of their new home or investment property. I absolutely love being a small part of my client's journeys and ensuring the build process is stress free and enjoyable for them.
As a mother of four boys, life can be quite hectic. I enjoy the challenges of balancing teenagers, toddlers and my passion (my job), and I would not change a thing. Down time for me looks pretty simple - spending time with my husband, our boys, family and friends. Don't mind the odd camping trip with the crew either.
I am a Build Support Assistant here at Axon Property Group. I served in the Navy for 5 years and left as a Leading Seaman Steward and Commissions HMAS Parramatta and served HMAS Newcastle along with land-based postings. When I first left my natural carer progressions was to start in Hospitality which I worked for a major Hotel chain in Events Management roles for 7 years. I moved to the Gold Coast 8 years ago and that's when you could say my true passion for property and real estate really took shape.
As investor myself, I created an investment property company and as I was interested in Finance and I completed my Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management in 2007. I also had the pleasure of working with one of the Big 4 banks for 15 months prior to being offered this position at Axon Property Group.
My love for helping people achieve their dreams using property! This is something I have been lucky enough to do myself and working with a team of veterans helping serving and ex-members of defence is a true honour and I'm so lucky to be a part of the journey with my clients who I now call friends.
I am a Build Support Assistant here at Axon Property Group. I completed 10 years with the Army as a Transport Manager including four years in the Military Post Office. I was selected to deploy on three occasions as the Postie in Iraq, Afghanistan and UAE.
After discharging from the Army in January 2019 I started a career with RSL Victoria where I completed my training to become a Level 2 Compensation Advocate managing veterans claims with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs and the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation.
I have personal experience in buying and selling property. Unfortunately, I was uneducated and fell into the trap of buying a house in Townsville where the value decreased significantly and finding reliable tenants was almost impossible. I wish I knew about Axon back then!
In my spare time you will find me laying on a beach or adventuring with my Miniature Dachshund Gertie.
I am dedicated to helping our defence members and the veteran community and I am proud to be a part of the amazing Axon family.
I am the Marketing Manager here at Axon. My role is to make sure all of our content reaches out to our amazing clients. I’m responsible for taking care of our Social Media, Newsletter, Lives and Events. I love being a part of Axon’s family!
I previously worked in 3 of the top 10 Advertising agencies in Brazil.
I love spending time at the beach, exploring Australia and hanging out with my friends.
