The Axon Property Group Team
Robbie: As the CEO of Axon Property Group, my role is varied, but I must say my biggest enjoyment comes from my role as Property Coach. I love being able to come up with a plan for my clients and help them think in ways they may not have before - all with a focus on achieving their personal and financial goals.
After 23 years in Defence, I knew I wanted to continue to help people, and to be able to share my passion for Property Investment with Defence members and other Veterans, it really makes me jump out of bed each day!
I've lived in so many different places in this beautiful country, but living on the Gold Coast is definitely my favourite so far! I love spending time with my wife and our 2 puppies exploring the Coasts many places to eat, drink and explore!
Dan: I am the primary property coach at Axon Property Group, meaning it is highly likely that I will interact with each and every client at some stage. In this role as a strategist I get to develop ‘outside the box’ plans that allow clients to achieve their goals, without having to significantly jeopardise their current quality of life. As an investor, I would be considered quite aggressive in my approach – meaning that I almost always have a new project in the works!
The greatest satisfaction that I get from my role is paying it forward … when I was still in the ADF someone taught me how to invest my money (rather than spend it on fast cars!) and it allowed me to successfully transition to civilian life. Now I am on a mission to help others do the same so that they can transition at a time & place of their choosing – spend more time with their kids – travel… whatever they want! When I do take some down-time, I’ve recently taken to bundling my young family into the car for fishing weekends along the Fraser Island Coast. The lower tempo (compared to living inner-city Brisbane) is refreshing – and the fishing options are vast!
Dave: I am the Property Specialist here at Axon Property Group. I work closely with the coaches to implement the plans that we create with our clients. I spend the majority of my day researching our current and emerging locations to ensure that we give our clients the best possible chance of success. Maintaining relationships with the best and most reliable builders ensures that I can hold them to the highest standards of quality and service. I am an active property investor with over ten years of experience building my property portfolio and five years working in the industry as an investment property professional.
Before working in the investment property industry, I served for 21 years in the Army and retired as a WO2. I was the dog trainer and handler to Sarbi; a special operation’s Explosive Detection Dog (EDD) and Australia’s most recognised canine war hero. During one of our missions in Afghanistan, Sarbi went missing in action during a heated battle with the Taliban. Sarbi was recovered 14 months later, reunited with Australian Forces, and returned home to live with my wife and I. After 17 years as a dog trainer, I continue to have a keen interest in training dogs and love nothing more than finding a dog-friendly Airbnb on the coast somewhere to spend time away with my wife and our dog.
Tamara: I am the General Manager (and all-round ass kicker) for the team at Axon, Director of Marketing, and wife to Robbie. My role is varied and includes Social Media and Company Marketing Strategy, overseeing Accounts and Company Admin, Client Experience and Robbie's life!
I previously worked in Event Management, with highlights including working with Tony Blair, George Clooney and various big charities such as the Myer Community Fund. I also did a short 2 and a bit years as a Flight Attendant.
I love spending time with Robbie and our 2 fur-kids, as well as my gorgeous girlfriends - preferably with a cocktail in hand!
Renee: I am the Client Relations Assistant which means I am the first point of contact for most clients at the start of their process with Axon.
I act as a PA and organize the calendars for the coaching teams and make sure all appointments are booked and confirmed.
I also work alongside Tamara with the Marketing side of the business which I really enjoy.
I have no previous experience in the Property Industry, however, I served in the Army for just over 2 and a half years as an Admin Clerk. Unfortunately, I was medically discharged so I didn't get to serve for as long as I had hoped however my short time in the ADF taught me a lot and I am grateful for the opportunities I had. I love working with Axon because it allows me to continue working with the ADF and help Defence Members achieve their goals and I also love meeting new people.
My first Investment Property was also thanks to the help from the Axon team.
Previous to defence I was a Personal Trainer so that's where I get my Customer Service skills from. Health and fitness is a huge part of my life.
Kylie: I am part of the Build support team here at Axon Property Group. This role involves assisting our clients throughout the construction of their new home which consists of several things such as claim processes with lenders, introductions to accountants, insurance providers, building inspectors, rental management referrals, liaising with builders, property managers - the list goes on! We do all of this to help our clients enjoy their property investment experience and helping them to create financial freedom.
My previous experience involves working in the Construction and Property Development side of the industry with a focus on Sales.
I love working with the Axon Family we all get along so well, and it's by far the most enjoyable job I've been lucky enough to have.
Jane: With over 7 years experience in the real estate and construction industry, I have a huge passion for customer service and ensuring all my clients experience when building a new home, is as stress free and seamless as possible.
My career began as a Contracts Administrator then Business Development Manager with a medium size residential builder. This lead me into a role as a Real Estate Agent, and then some time as a Property Manager. All of these roles gave me invaluable knowledge and experience in all facets of real estate, residential building and development, and is where my passion for this industry began.
Working with Axon clients who are primarily ADF members and veterans is something I find incredibly rewarding. We get to help people who are often posted in different parts of the world achieve financial freedom through property investment. We often help people who otherwise would not ever get into the property market due to their work movements, travel etc. I truly believe in the service we offer our clients, and the Axon story.
Outside of work, I am a wife and a mother to four amazing boys. They are my inspiration and driving force behind all I do. I love to work hard (and play hard) giving 110% to all I do, in hope my boys will see hard work pays off and they can do anything they put their minds to.
Jane is currently on Maternity leave after the safe arrival of her little boy Jax.
Louise: I'm the Accounts Manager here at Axon Property group. This involves an interesting varied role in managing the accounts, from the daily bookkeeping duties to creating detailed management reports, such as cashflow & budget forecasts, which are essential for successful business growth.
Robbie Turner & Dan Irwin make up the Property Coaching Team at Axon Property Group. They are both highly passionate and enthusiastic property investors that come from substantial military backgrounds. After a combined 36 years in the Australian Army (including 8 deployments to East Timor, Solomon Islands, Afghanistan, Kuwait and Iraq), Robbie & Dan both completed their service as Major's.
Incorporating his expertise in property investment alongside his experience in the ADF, Robbie founded Axon Property Group and created The Commando Approach to Property Investing. This is a special property investment method that includes a focus on training & mindset; real-time planning based on sound research and intelligence briefings; implementing risk management strategies before we need them and only working with the very best partners and associates.
