Hugh (22 yo) and Kelli (26yo) contacted us in Oct 2020. Kelli had already separated from her career in Defence, and Hugh was posted to RAAF Richmond in Sydney. After watching our training videos, one case study pointed to their first move into the property market…
With a posting to RAAF Amberley in Brisbane on the horizon, we put a plan together for them to buy their first home (PPOR). Whilst it was daunting for them to commence something from afar (and Kelli had not yet secured a job in Brisbane), we coached and guided them to ensure the plan could be executed.
Hugh and Kelli had a good amount of savings for their deposit and costs, yet the addition of the $25K homebuilder grant, HPAS $11K, and QLD FHOG $15K were welcome additions their available cash holdings. Kelli secured a job, finance approved and Boom – let’s do this!

- Key handover: 30th May 2022 (including 109 days of construction delays)

As you’ll see from the photos, this house has been finished to the highest standard and finishings. Hugh and Kelli are now well and truly settled into their beautiful home. Furthermore, Hugh is now a veteran himself, successfully transitioning to Mates 4 Mates.
