ADF HOUSING INVESTMENT PROPERTY: SUCCESS STORY #61

H and S are a Defence couple posted to Canberra. After watching our 📖 education and training series, they have maintained a ‘rent-vesting’ option for the past few years. To her credit, H bought their first investment property with Axon over the 2019-2020 period. That house has appreciated 📈 in value by over $200K. Not a bad result…

 
In Feb 2021, we put a plan in place for S to join the party to acquire IP#2, using approx. $100K of equity from IP#1 as the deposit and costs. This concept protected H and S’s cash holdings. As a DINK couple, it was a no-brainer that they continue building 🏋️‍♂️ 🏋️‍♀️ wealth. Without doubt, the confidence they had in doing things ‘the Axon way’ helped a lot.

Let’s talk rent: other properties were on the market at $650pw, sitting there for a couple ⏱️ of weeks, going head-to-head with each other, ‘hoping’ a tenant would prefer their property over another. As per Axon’s risk management guide, H and S put their property on at $635pw and got tenants in a few days – model clients with their Axon’s firing properly!

 
Fast forward to now… H (a veteran) and S are posting to Darwin next year. After this posting, they’ll likely settle in Canberra and buy 😲 their long-term home. Life could not be better!
