ADF HOUSING INVESTMENT PROPERTY: SUCCESS STORY #70
I first met Mr J and Ms K in Jan 2022. He is an Army officer and she is a senior project manager with 10+ years experience. As a DINK couple with very aligned goals and values, they presented to us in a strong 🏋🏻♂️ 🏋🏼♀️ position to get started in securing their financial future.
Mr J reminded me that we had met many years beforehand – when I was working at the property firm I joined immediately post my ADF separation. Embarrassingly, I did not recall those interactions…
Our first few coaching sessions were done only on Saturdays (which is not normal practice for me). Why? Mr J was deployed to the MEAO. Our zoom calls went like this: Ms K and I were dressed in summer clothes at midday, and Mr J was rugged up in his puffer jacket at 5am. Ahh the clash of worlds, but we made it work!
By their own admission, Mr J and Ms K were frustrated with their lack of traction, trying to benefit from the property market. As everyday people, with no foot in the door, they were undertaking the process by themselves in their spare time.
