ADF HOUSING INVESTMENT PROPERTY:
SUCCESS STORY of a Double-Army Couple

This is a story of commitment and flexibility that turns out to be a great success!

 
Rae and Alyta came to us in April 2022. A double-Army couple 👩🏻‍🤝‍👩🏽 living in Brisbane, we explored 2 x COAs: Build their first investment property (outside of their posting radius); or pull the trigger on their ADF and Govt housing entitlements and build their own home (PPOR).

 
After some analysis from the mortgage broker and more planning with Axon, it was decided that we would discard IP#1 and enact the COA that provides stability and surety 👌 (building their PPOR). Eventually we found them a great land and build option. We could feel the excitement building! The location, timeline, budget and 🏡 house design were spot on. $11K HPAS, $15K FHOG and DHOAS loan was all coming their way. We got this!

 
Unfortunately, the land developer started to fall behind with their process of creating a master-planned community. This delay would likely impact Rae and Alyta’s posting and long-term outcomes. We were at a T-Junction. Disappointment. 🤬 FFS!

 
It was decided we needed to 🎯 switch targets, quickly! So we updated their sync matrix and amended the plan to cater for this new direction. The whole Axon team jumped in and went on the hunt for a suitable replacement. About a week later, phew, we found one! Whilst in a different location, this new option still ticked all the boxes. Let’s get back on track.
