ADF HOUSING INVESTMENT PROPERTY:
SUCCESS STORY of A RAAF OFFICER & APs Worker

Dom and Tiff first came to Axon in early 2019. Yep, Axon was only a couple of years old then. Whilst hesitant to pay money to talk to people, that will likely disappoint them, they figured that working with a Veteran-owned business might be different. They got that right!

 

Living in their own home in Canberra, Dom is a career RAAF officer (>30 years service) and Tiff has almost 20 years in the APS. With adult children and a couple of properties in their portfolio, they were able to move forward as DINKs. They built an investment property with us over the 2019/2020 period which has increased in value by approximately $400K.

Due to some restructuring of their portfolio over the preceding years, Dom and Tiff were able to purchase this investment property in cash. So that’s approx. $36K of passive income straight off the bat. And the quick capital growth is a decent kick start as well!

The part that stood out to me was Dom and Tiff highlighting the meaningful friendships that have developed since they took that chance with a Veteran-owned business back in 2019.

 

It’s so true – the relationship we have when providing services is not a sterile transaction. We aim to create a community of like-minded people who care for each other beyond what’s happening with their property actions. Dom and Tiff truly embody our approach, and we are honoured to be able to help them and enjoy each other’s company.

 

12 months ago, Tiff was on the verge of retiring or returning to part-time work. Now, with renewed vigour and satisfaction in her workforce – she ain’t done yet. I reckon there is more to come from this superstar couple. We’re looking forward to seeing them at the Canberra meet-up in May!
