ADF HOUSING INVESTMENT PROPERTY: success story of RAAF Ops Officer

I have been waiting to share this Success Story for a while. Let me explain…

After being pestered for about 12 months by their very good friends to reach out to Axon one day, Brett and Keryn finally did so in March 2024. Brett is an Ops Officer in the RAAF with over 20 years of service, and Keryn is a medical receptionist.

During the initial coaching, we discovered that, sadly, Brett and I attended a funeral together many years ago. Then we unravelled a connection that will bind our families forever. Immediately, the stakes of Axon’s service to Brett and Keryn went through the roof! Challenge accepted.

After the Axon planning process and some number crunching with Deb, the finance broker, it was determined that we would pursue building their own home. This project took an even deeper turn in terms of emotional importance as Keryn was about to receive a substantial family inheritance, so the money MUST not be wasted!

I did an end-of-build coaching session with Brett and Keryn last week. Whilst they had individual feelings about living in a very nice (for now) house that is not their dream house, their overwhelming gratitude and appreciation for what’s happened was a pleasure to be part of.

Thankfully, Brett has received a 2-year posting extension, which allows them and the kids to enjoy the house longer than initially planned. Once their time is up, I let them know they can let the door hit them on the arse on the way out, and they turn their mindset of this house as a money-making machine for many years to come, with three forms of income (rent, tax and Tier 3 DHOAS).

I’m certain this is not the last you’ll hear from this wonderful family within the Axon ecosystem. They have big dreams and this is just the beginning.
